$5 for a Fucking cup of Coffee? You gotta be Kidding? "No"!!! That's the price. At Carmela's Toast & Coffee Bar on 8th Street in New York's Greenwich Village. "Outrageous" !!!! Normally I pay more. But that's at a beautiful boutique hotel, and it's for a cappuccino. Over there, I'm paying for the privilege of being inside a beautiful boutique hotel in New York. Carmela's is just a coffee cafe, non descriptive. It's not bad. I'm not knocking the looks of the place, but it is low-end, not high like the hotel. This coffee should be $2.90, not $4.90 !!! More than five dollars with the tip for the counter-person. "Outrageous" !!!! Three years ago, this was the price ($2.90). And that was fair. But $5 just a couple years later? A total "Rip-Off" !!!! What is this World coming to? I't just not right. Everything is "Out of Whack" !!! Everything : gasoline, groceries, coffee, everything ! And there's nothing we can do but pay. "Pay the Damn Piper" !!! We have no say in the matter. That's the way it is. But it's not right.
I have at least 10 -12 coffee out a week. Meaning in a cafe, coffee shop, or at the boutique hotel. So when a small coffee goes from $2.90 to $5 in to short an amount of time, it pisses me off. It pisses a lot of people off. "It's just not right" !!! What am I gonna do? I guess I have no choice? I write, and I write in cafes, and I have to buy coffees. I gotta pay. Pay The Piper. I have to pay, but I don't have to like it, and I don't. "Fuck this Shit" !!!
